Reasonable Build.

In regards to PSU - The Antec Trio 550w was $99 with a $30 Rebate to make it $69. Then there was a promo code for another $30 off for a final price of $39.

Really a steal for the Antec Trio 550w.
It's not a great PSU, but for a $500 build you are not going to be able to get anything too great.

I would say definitely go for the x1950pro, well worth the small price premium over the 7600gt for a gaming PC.

I would not buy all those service/warranty plans. A $20 service plan for a $60 item....that's 33% (I thought BestBuy was a rip). Most items come with a decent warranty and newegg will RMA just about everything that has a problem.

$120 - x1950pro
$75 - Pentium e2140
$60 - 2gb DDR2 RAM
$60 - 250gb Sata hard disk
$40-50 - PSU capable of the x1950pro
$30 - DVD burner
$70+ - Motherboard that allows decent overclocking
$20-30 - case with free shipping that has room for 120mm intake / exhaust fans.

The e2140 uses the Core 2 architecture (less cache and bus speed) and should overlock to 2.4ghz on the stock cooler. If you get an okay motherboard and toss on a $35 90-120mm tower cooler, you should be able to overclock to 2.8ghz for performance that no AMD processor can touch (gaming).
