Can anyone please help me. Whe i try to boot up my Dell Dimension 8400 it keeps asking for a system password ??!!

I don't know about DD 8400 specifically, but you can boot into Safe Mode and remove any user passwords being applied to the system from Control Panel/User Accounts.

Try booting the computer and tapping F8 continually to enter Safe Mode. Read your system manual and find how to enter Safe Mode. Remove any system password from Safe Mode Control Panel/User Accounts.

You might try resetting the CMOS jumper too. Instructions are in your system manual.

Tried tapping F8 but won't let me do anything. Just comes up with 'Type the system password and press <ENTER>
