More about what motherboard better
  1. so no one knows? :'(
  2. Right now Intel is leading CPU performance so you'll get a faster system by building around that NVIDIA motherboard. We don't really know yet if AMD will be competitive in 2008.
That motherboard could be the foundation for a really nice build. With a Core2Duo E6750 or better, 2x1gb of DDR2800 ram and your 8800GTX you'll have a high performance system that should last for a while.
  3. i have a Asus m2npv-vm mobo (or i can put in the nvidia now that i have it), 500gb hard drive, 2gb Kingston ram (or some k brand not sure if its DDR2800), a 600 wt power supply, 8800 GTX vid card, AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ Dual-core processor and a pioneer dule/double layer dvd/cd writer, Apevia mid tower
