you're going to need a QUALITY PSU, especially if you're going SLI (XION is a POS). Get a PC Power & Cooling 750W or an Antec TruePower Quattro 850/1000W. Cases are a personal choice thing, but I'd always recommend checking out the Antec Nine Hundred and Antec P180B.

Seeing as you already have your sound system, Im guessing an X-fi is also on the way, but I don't know much about them, so I'll leave that to someone else.

Drop the Raptor X, if you REALLY need a raptor then get a normal raptor. The ONLY differences between the Raptor and Raptor X is that the Raptor X runs hotter, is more expensive, and has a clear window, none of which you'll need.

Finally, drop that Ultra, it's just an OC'ed GTX but you're paying probably $100-200 more than a GTX (Depending how much the retailer feels like charging at the moment), do yourself a favor and get a GTX, OC it if you REALLY need that marginal speed increase especially since you plan on liquid cooling. (That small factory OC on the ultra can be achieved even on air stock cooling)

especially if you're going SLI (XION is a POS).
haha you had me sitting dumb-fonded for a second, i was like "POS, what does that .... OHHHHH" blonde moment

ok so i switched out a few things.

PSU: Antec TruePower Quattro TPQ-1000 ATX12V / EPS12V 1000W Power Supply
HD: Western Digital Raptor WD1500ADFD 150GB 10,000 RPM Serial ATA150 Hard Drive
GPU: EVGA 768-P2-N831-AR GeForce 8800GTX 768MB 384-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card

the PSU was about $50 more, but i do need to make sure it will handle future upgrades like more RAM and SLI support. the Hard-drives were like $10 less each, but if raptor X's run hotter then F them.. looks dont mean sh*t to me, unless it's on the screen.. The GPU dropped about $100, and yea i'm going to try to OC the SOB.

I got the sound system last year for my Sony XBR when black monday was happening - it was like $89.99 for the system, so i had to get it.. it's not a full blown awesome system but it does a nice job tho. so need the computer to work around the connections (it's only got 1 opitical and 2 red/white's inputs)

Also forgot to say - I'm going for 2560x1600 - Want the max resolution for intra-day trading (charts take up alot of space) but also hoping she can handle gaming too.. (which im thinking 30' apple cinema or maybe samsung 30' - still trying to find a good rated one)

If you're shooting for that res, you're going to need SLI for sure!

About the sound card, I'm guessing you'll be needing something like this

Creative 70SB046A00000 7.1 Channels 24-bit 192KHz PCI Interface Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Professional Series - Retail

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829102005

OR

Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer 7.1 Channels 24-bit 96KHz PCI Interface Sound Card - Retail

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829102006

But Im not really an audio guy, so I can't say much more than that. And that's a lot better than what I have ($5 sony lite headphones)

Other than that, make sure your case has enough room for those cards and you're good to go.
