Hi I just built a system using:

Windows Vista Home Premium
Gigabyte P35 DS3R
8800GTS
Intel Q6600
G.Skill DDR2-800

and I was wondering in which order should I install the drivers. I think I heard somewhere you should install the motherboard first or something :?: and if that is the case which order it should be in.

no one knows? Or is this a dumb question cause they can be installed in any order =/

I am not sure if this is right or wrong, but I always load the motherboard drivers first, then the video card and then I download and install any motherboard or video card updates. Then I install all other miscellaneous items in no particular order. This has worked for me, not saying it is right.

Mobo 1st is generally a good place to start.

Otherwise there is a chance some of the other hardware may not be detected properly.

However, there is not likely to be any long-term issues from install order.

Thanks a lot! I thought it might be mobo first but I wanted to be sure...
