Hi all,

My subject says pretty much everything. Anybody who owns this ... Is this a good/fast hdd? I'm planning to use this as my Linux OS drive. I'm on a budget and I'm just willing to spend exactly $50 ONLY (shipping included)

I have the non perpendicular recording version of that HD and it works great, that one must be faster so I say go for it.

Yeah, I got the non perpendicular version also :) I don't anything about this one though :D This only has NCQ (I think) Thanks for your reply :)

Anyone else have inputs about this?

That's a lot to spend when only a few more dollars will get you much more storage but to answer your question yes the 7200.10 drives are very good drives but not as good, or as fast, as the newer 7200.11 drives.

Thank you for your reply. :) I'll try to get/find .11 hdds .. but If I cant find a good deal, i think ill go for this one :D
