Purchased A New PSU.....

....And the damn thing won't fit because of the front panel metal casing! :fou:  basically where you put in the power cable for my old PSU it had a flat front surface this one has extra black plastic around the plug...and because of this it won't fit in problem. I guess that was the last thing I was paying attention to when looking at a new PSU....

Is there anyway around this or suggestions on what I could do, or did I just waste my money?

It sounds like you are trying to install an after market PSU in a pre-built system (HP, Dell. etc). If this is the case you can:

1. Get out the metal shears, ziz wheel and get to cutting.
2. Get a new case and move everything into it.
3. Take your PSU back and try again.

Thats about it...
