Yeah what are you planning on doing with it ??Go Intel C2D instead if you are spending that much on a processor you will get the most out of the C2D like the 6600. Or drop down to the 6000+ AM2 And just simply OC it to the 6400 Speeds which would save you money to put on to the 8800GTS. Like Dante said, depends on what u want to do.

ok, the corsair 450w is what i should go for instead, thanks! Will it supply enough power if i was to someday add another Graphics card for SLI-mode???

I dont plan on overclocking my processor at all, so should i stick with the 6400+ or should i opt for something else???

Any suggestions on cpu fans???

i am using this computer for gaming.

If it is for gaming I would then still get the 6000+ and spend the extra on the 8800GTS that way u can have DX 10. Or get an INTEL 6600 which will pretty much beat the 6400+

i would have gone for the 8800gts, but unfortunatly, it just is a little more than i can spend on a gpu............i am already over my budget..........

What's wrong with the AMD Athlon 6000+? For its price, it is a great processor. No intel beats it unless you want to pay another hundred dollars.

it will be really simple the intrustions come with the processor and the motherboard. Some motherboard brands dont but gigabyte comes with clear instructions if thats what you have bought
