Hi,

currently I'm using Viewsonic VA1912w with GeForce 7600GT 256MB. Usually I set the resolution to 1024x768, but since I feel akward when looking at pictures & circles (stretch), I decided to create a custom resolution based on GeForce's manual book and set the resolution to 1088X612 at 70 Hz.

But I don't know if this is safe, or will damage the monitor and/or VGA card. Can anyone help me?

What's the monitor's native resolution?

Aren't you already using a custom resolution at 1024x768. I believe the native resolution for that monitor is 1440 x 900 which also explains
" I feel akward when looking at pictures & circles (stretch), ".
