I have overclocked my Q6600 to 3.28GHz and it runs at 43C idle.
I though, I do the lapping again (which I did to my E6600 and which brought me about 8C less).
But, even after lapping both, CPU and Cooler, the temps are identical, even after a week... no changes at all.

My room temps are 25C
Processor at idle is 43C, at load about 60C
Processor is G0

Yes, I reseated the cooler, checked everything, but no way, the temps will just not go down...
I did not raise the voltage, its still 1.3 and all runs stable.
But my target is 3.6GHz...

Are that temps normal or are they too high for that 3.28GHz?

Cooler is a Zalman.

The maximum tcase temperature for g0 q6600s is 72c. This puts the hottest individual core at about 82c maximum. So assuming that the temperatures you gave were tcase temperatures, no, your temperatures are not above Intel's thermal specifications.

if you're talking tcase .. that's a little high for the idle ..but not so much for the load, nothing a q6600 g0 can't take .. check what you're using to do full load .. a delta of 17c is suspicious ..

softtouch, we need to fill in some blanks. From the Core 2 Quad and Duo Temperature Guide: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/221745-29-core-quad-temperature-guide

Section 1: Introduction

Results

Tcase (CPU) = Idle ??c/ Load ??c
Tjunction (Hottest Core) = Idle 43c / 60c

Variables

Ambient = 25c
Chipset = Model ???
C2Q / C2D = Q6600
CPU Cooler = Zalman Model ???
Frequency = 3.28Ghz
Load = Test Program ???
Motherboard = Model ???
Stepping = G0
Vcore = 1.3

Also from the Guide:

Section 6: Scale

Scale 2: Quad

Q6x00: Tcase Max 71c, G0 Stepping, Tjunction Max 100c, Vcore Default 1.372, TDP 95w, Delta 10c

-Tcase/Tjunction-
--70--/--80--80--80--80-- Hot
--65--/--75--75--75--75-- Warm
--60--/--70--70--70--70-- Safe
