I'm trying to decide between to motherboards and could use a little help in deciding.

Here are the two boards I'm looking at:

P5K-E: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131196
GA-P35-DS3L: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128059

I'm going to use a Q6600 processor, 8800 GTS video card, 4 GB of Crucial PC-6400 RAM.

Which mobo is preferred? I don't need the wireless with the P5K-E, but it sounds like (from the reviews) the other board runs hotter.

I'm new to building my own system so any tips on other things I should think of (like system/CPU cooling) much appreciated!

Paul

If you are not planning on overclocking, either board will suit you well and you won't notice any performance differences. Best to decide based on price and features.

that's quite a price (& feature) spread. The P35-DS3P is $159 & imo is a better board than the P5K-E.
Another 2 boards worth looking at in that price range are the abit IP35-E & IP35 depending upon which features that you require.

Buff, why do you think the P35-DS3P is a better board? Thanks!
