1. How does this system look?
2. How 'futureproof' would this system be?

GIGABYTE GA-M57SLI-S4 (Socket AM2) SLi Enabled
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ Windsor 2.2GHz
CORSAIR 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 667 (PC2 5300)
WD Caviar SE WD2500JS 250GB 7200 RPM SATA
LITE-ON 20X DVD±R DVD Burner IDE
EVGA 256-P2-N554-AX GeForce 7600GT 256MB 128-bit PCI Express x16 (SLI Supported)

also, im looking for a good heatsink/fan for the processor because obviously the one that comes with it isnt going to be the best.

any and all suggestions are appreciated

hmm its not a very good system nor future proof, what is your budget?

Sorry for the bad news, but this system is not futureproof. It looks good, for a small budget. I don't think you need an after-market cooler, unless you intend to overclock. In that case you need better RAM too.

What kind of PSU did you pick? Can you afford a decent 500W PSU and an x1950xt? That would be a lot better and it could handle new games for a while.
