System restore

after a system restore I recieved message "could not load or run a file specified in registry".How do I remove the reference in the registry ?

You could try running ccleaner, which is a very handy registry/HDD cleaning tool. Did you perform a clean install or did you just use the system restore utility?

If its the sys restore utility then that is nothing other than a registry backup program. If you installed anything and then restored to before you installed it it will need to be re-installed. Because your computer removed all of the registry values that it wrote.

You can undo a system restore. Also download and run erunt http://www.larshederer.homepage.t-online.de/erunt/ much better than system restore the registry checker can be deleted.
