Upgrading GFX card soon..

Ok I will be in the market for a new gfx in around 4-6 weeks, what I want to know is. wil there be a new line of cards out before the end of the year, I don't want to buy say a 8800GTX only for superior Dx10 cards to come out a few weeks later

You should buy the 8800gtx, this year nvidia will only launch a new mainstream card that will have performance situated in between the geforce 8600gts and the geforce 8800gts so get the 8800gtx.

the next high performance range from Nvidia is at least 6 months away, it's looking like nv are doing the same thing they did toward the end of the 7xxx series days, coming out with dozens of new models just to try and confuse people and have a product placed at every $20 increment in the price range

agreed with both , get a 8800GTX now , G92 is a refresh according to many soruce , it will not be a new generation , it will something like 78xx to 79xx series , the card that is rumored to come out soon is 8700GTS which is (rurmored ) that has the performance near 8800GTS 320
