Im looking to buy a power supply for my new system build. Just to give you an idea. I will be running a GeForce 8800 GTS 320mb, an intel Q6600, 2gb - 4gb of ddr2 800 memory. I plan to have a mid range sound card, 1 dvd burner, and that is about it. I know there are more components, but that is all for the biggies.

I was planning to go around 700 watts, I think I may have estimated high, but I will let you experts be the judge of that. The only thing is that while looking for a good case and power supply I learned that this could easily break the $200 mark just for the two, and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas. The case may be something where I can go for a cheaper one and I'll just have to deal with it when I am assembling, but the power supply is something that I wouldn't want to cut corners on quality so much, but they are just so darn expensive. Any suggestions, insight?

Currently I am looking at the XCLIO GREATPOWER X14S4P4 750W ATX12V 750W Power Supply

I run pretty much that sys and ive got a 650W
No dramas with it.

That psu calc thingy suggests ~600w for that OC sys.
Its always wise to go a BIT higher
A.) as a psu gets older its rating can drop a bit
B.) as u push ur psu harder is loses effeciency and lifespan too.

IMHO, if u get a REALLY good psu, 600w absolute min, an average brand, maybe 700w
