Hello, I was wondering if putting 2 x 1gigs and then 2 x 512s would cause any problems? Both are PC6400 and they are pretty much the same model except for the size difference (as far as I can see at least).

links to what I am planning to buy:\

Using 2 x 1GB plus 2 x 512MB of the same RAM should be fine in dual channel. You should list complete system specs.

I use 2 x 1GB plus 2 x 512MB PC6400 G. Skill (same except for size) in dual channel on an ASUS 965 MB. Not sure about the 1:1 ratio, but dual channel yes.

Alot of people are doing this to get the 3Gb limit that XP has... you shouldnt have an issue with it working. The real problems will become apparent if you try to OC or improve on CAS timing cause all 4 chips will need to be able to do the same

Chook has planted the seed of doubt! So I have to ask for sleeps sake: Am I going to be able to oc my e6750 to 3.2 (400x8) to run the ram at 1:1 if I choose those?

Thanks for the replies.
