Greetings!

I am a DV video editor (someday HDV) and I just got a Dual Xeon Workstation with 4gb RAM and running XP Pro on WD Raptors. I have seen Video cards claiming they are 3 monitor output, but only to find they are 3 monitors, but only 2 running at once. I'm really wanting to be able to run Dual DVI Monitor operations with the third monitor running my output video preview using Adobe Premiere Pro CS3.

The other challenge behind this is I need to have good performance that will help render video quicker using After Effects and Premiere CS3. OpenGL and good GPU is important, but I am not a hardcore gamer, so I know I don't need the top of the line gamer card to do what I do.

I am looking for something less than $500 that will hopefully do this. I wish the specs on some of these cards weren't misleading in what they can truly output (ie 2DVI + HDTV vs. 2DVI and HDTV).

Currently Premiere Pro has full Support for the following, but not sure if many of these are in my range:
ATI- Radeon X1950/X1900
NVIDIA - Quadro FX55/5600/4500/3500/1500, GEFORCE 8800/7800

Perhaps it would be cheaper to get one of these 1 monitor+video and then upgrade my monitor to a large widescreen. I don't know what is the best way to go. The OpenGL I read is important for rendering video filters and compositing etc. in After Effcts. But again with my computer setup I would think the Dual Xeons and 4gm of RAM would do a good job too....

Thank you very much for your help in advance for your advice. I'm hoping with my current computing powerhouse that I can get away with a card in that price range or lower for my needs.
