I just bought a 6400 black edition cause it has an unlocked multi right.....but at stock its 16*200
now i have an asus crosshair mobo and when i go into the bios to raise the multi, it maxes out at 16
my quesstion is whats the point in having it unlocked if its maxed, i cant raise the mutiplyer whitch is the whole reason for it to be unlocked to make oc'ing easier. am i missing the point?
i thank ya's for your the input.

I'd look for a bios update, first off. I'm pretty sure there are boards out there that support significantly higher than 16. I'll check my own when I get home. Regardless, in most cases, you are trying to get the most out of both your memory and your CPU, which will seldom require you to increase your multiplier. Of course, that all depends on what memory dividers your board allows as well...

Yep, my Abit board offers multipliers up to 25. I'm pretty sure most of the DFI Lanparty boards did as well.
