I am going to go away from the ATI 2600xt as I originally planned and will wait for the newer cards to come out. In the meantime, please recommend me a card that will still do 1920x1080 to watch videos on my 1080p tv and still be able to do light gaming (Mostly games like Warcraft and Age of Empires, I have my 360 for everything else). Also, I will be using a 1680x1050 monitor, so I would like a card that allows for fluid gameplay. I'm looking to spend under $150, the cheaper the better.

My current setup (will be buying this week).

Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R
Memory: 4x1gb Crucial Ballistix
HD: WD Raptor 150gb
HD2: WD Caviar 500gb
PSU: Corsair HX520w
CPU Cooler: Tuniq Tower
Case: Antec 900

I will be running Vista Ultimate x64. I also do not want to wait, and want to get the system now.

I wasnt sure what section to post this so I will be posting this in the Video Card forum as well.

THANKS!!

Save yourself $80 and buy E6750 dual-core @2.66MHz
then buy a EVGA 8800GTS 320MB GPU
play any game you want............

Or drop the Raptor and get the 8800 GTS 320, with the Q6600. I have the raptor and see no performance gain whatsoever on games and most other applications. The only difference is that window's loads faster. If there is a difference between my older SATA drive I can't see it.

However, if you want to keep the raptor and save some money, look into the X1950PRo as well, they are around $136 and will be pretty good in the gaming department.
