Ok im using windows vista and i have a 500gb WD hard drive. my computer sees the hard drive but it is displayed as other devices when i go to device manager. i can not get windows to recognize it as a hard drive. and it wont appear in disk management either!

UPDATE:: Ok i just plugged in a usb flash drive and it said searching for drivers and it said it could not find any and the usb drive is not appearing either!
