A new board may cost you as much or more than the drive. Most manufacturers will not let you RMA just a board either. I messed up a drive board once and the tech guy told me to buy another Hdd exactly same make and model, switch out the board, transfer my data, switch back the board, then return the drive from where I purchased it as if I rma's the whole drive the data would be lost to me forever. (If i RMA'ed the whole drive, they would NOT fix my HD drive board and return the same drive to me.

I suppose it would be about as expensive as to get a new drive. You could however try to get hold of the individual SMD's if you didn't destroy any custom parts. Or you could try to get the same model cheaply over ebay.
