Is this supposed to stay on the X1950 board?

Please look at this pic (5th pic from the left) that shows the pink looking foam sticker. Is this supposed to stay on the board or be removed?

Looks like a heatsink-esque thermal compound...or chewing gum. But definitely one of those.

It certainly doesn't hurt to leave it there unless it comes in the way of something on your motherboard. Just leave it there, it should be fine.

It kind of looks like a thin piece of plastic. Its probably there to protect whatever is beneath it from direct physical contact with something that could be electrically conductive. I'd leave it there.

that is there to protect the Railto chip that comverts the PCIe video chip to the AGP bus that the card is.. it should stay.
