So I tried upgrading my video card yesterday, but it didnt' perform much better than the one that came with my computer. I have a Sony Vaio Desktop from 2002 w/ Pentium 4 2.66 cpu and an ASUS motherboard w/ Nvidia graphics.
Suddenly everytime that I change my screen resolution, my cpu reboots??????
An windows error came up and says that I should do a BIOS upgrade or Update, but I don't know how.
I found my Computer model on the Sony website with a new BIOS but it says I have to download and store onto a 3.5 inch floppy, which i don't have a drive for anymore - can I just store onto a disk or external hard drive??
How do I do this update?? sorry for my ignorance, but i'm learning.
Go to the sony website, look up your computer, and check for BIOS/driver updates. Just a random guess out the back pocket..

im pretty sure the guy said he found the update but he wants to know if he can save it to a disk or external hdd, im guessing you can but dont take my word for it, maybe even a flashdrive if you have one
