Basiq Antec 500w questions

im pretty sure its called Basiq, im too lazy to check, but i was wondering if its a good branded PSU. im using a 6100m-m mobo with a x64 dual core 4800. im planning to purchase a PCI-E video card and am wondering if my power supply is good enough, as ive heard that brands make a difference

The Basiq range are just that Basic. They are still decent with 36A on 2 12v rails. Depends on what GPU you are going to buy. If you are looking at an 8800 series you would be better with a Truepower TRIO, or NeoPower

hmm well as long as its good enough for cards lower than the 8800 i guess ill be okay, i dont plan on getting an 8800 for now

Dont get me wrong an 8800 should run off the Basiq i just wouldnt trust it as much... if you are buying good hardware you want something good supplying the power
