Long time reader, sometimes poster.

I've searched the forums and while my question (the same one actually) was asked in another post, it was never answered so I'm asking again in hopes that someone can give me some closure. And my question is this...

Can I use an Intel CPU that runs an FSB of 1333MHz with PC6400 memory?

Short answer: Yes.

Longer answer: Yes. If you don't OC everything will work just fine, but you will be using an awkward divider. This will have a small effect on performance, but fixing it would involve OC'ing your CPU. But also know that even if you fix it, you won't notice the difference. But if you just leave the issue alone, you won't have a problem. You aren't losing a noticeable amount of performance.

yes and it depends on the mobo

nvidia had 1mhz fsb adjustments while intel had ratios

if you have a odd match up use a nvidia mobo since you can dial in your settings exactly for ram and cpu

the problem is with nvidia set up is weird latency problems and you need to under clock your memoru many times

Well I'm building a system for a cousin and I was thinking of these parts:

ASUS P5K-C (Intel P35 Chipset) + Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 + 2GB PC6400 (2 x 1GB)
