Presumably you are talking about installing wireless adapters.
You don't need to worry about these messages so long as the driver installs okay.
Sometimes in Windows you have to give the system a little help in finding stuff -- usually drivers are on a disk supplied with hardware -- though they may already be in Windows (usually in the\windows\system or \windows\system32 folders)
The 802.11 you refer to is an agreed international wireless standard -- the a b and g are different types of 802.11 standard.
