These are the components that I am buying for it. I already have a segate SATA HD, Optical Drives, and a Radeon X1600 that will be there until I can nab a Geforce 8800 GTS or GTX. Let me know if you think this is good or if there is something better I can swap in. Thanks.

I do plan on SLI probably next year when prices fall a lot on those cards. What does the p35 have to offer that's better than the 680?

The p35 supports newer technology like the new 45nm intel cpus and DDR3 memory. The boards are already cheaper, but some like the gigabyte ones are great at Ocing. If you don't need SLI they are the way to go. With new cards coming out next year, I'd just get one card to hold me over save some money for the newer ones, since they will be better than the current ones in sli. At least that's the rumor. :)

It'll work, but are you use you want to spend that much money. You can get a great gigabyte p35-DS3R board for around 130 and it has everything you need. If you want DDR3 support for the future they have the p35C which is around 156. It's also great. Asus is alright, but they charge way too much for their stuff, plus you don't need anything with 2 PCI-E slots since they can't do SLI and Crossfire isn't all that great since the second slot runs at X4.
