Its out of warranty now so they wont sell you one?

Is it just me or does this sentence cause people some ethical dilemmas?

I assume your Alienware laptop uses a replaceable MXM module graphics card.

You can buy an Asus 8600M that uses the MXM format from NCIXUS.com:

However, there are a few types of of MXM modules so you will need to contact Asus to find out if this particular one is compatible with your laptop.

Boy I'd be pissed if I had an expensive laptop like that and have a component go out.

Yes it does. If it's under warranty it should be free (maybe shipping charge) and if it's out you should have the option of paying for it.

He also needs to find out if it's proprietary or not. Dell uses a version of the MXM, but their cards seem to longer than any of the other cards I've seen. If it's proprietary, you could search e-bay for used parts. Not the best solution but it may actually get you what you want.

Well, when i contacted them they said they do in fact carry some of these video modules, but they save them for the people who are still under warranty, and that i was basically screwed. and i went to the website jaguarskx linked, but that is just an upgrade of a laptop from that website, and i had no luck finding anything else, even on ebay

If your card now is MXM then that one that was posted in the link should work. Might as well give it a try. What else are you gonna do?
