Possible to put an X360 HD-DVD drive into a PC 5.25 bay?

I tried googling this but couldn't find any info.
Is the drive inside microsoft's xbox360 HD-DVD unit a standard HD-DVD drive?
Would it be possible to put it into a 5.25 bay and connect it via SATA or IDE? or does it use proprietary connectors?
