Today i bought a E2180 M0 revision cpu and i found some stains on the cpu. What do you think about these stains? Is there any problem with the cpu or the overclocking capability?

The box is not opened.

Thanks...

Looks used.

Where did you buy it from?

I would send it back and ask for another, or at least attempt to get my money back and buy from someone else. Check the packaging seal, it should have an official "Intel" holographic sticker.

Woah, check and MAKE sure it is factory sealed and not used. Someone may have given that thing an overclock testdrive, found it to not be such a good overclocker, and sent it back. Who knows what someone else did with it.

Really, it looks like a thermal paste stain that someone did a sloppy job cleaning it off.

Wow guys. You've never seen this before? It's quite common. Intel tests the CPU once it is manufactured for speed binning and QA purposes. It's just a slight abrasion from the heatsink that is temporarily stamped down on the processor during testing. Nothing to see here folks... move along.
