I respectfully disagree with you.
I tested the DDR3 version and it beat the 8600 GT in the majority of tests by a slight margin.
When 4xAA was turned on the 8600 GT did a bit better, but it was too slow to run with those settings at anything more than 1024x768... since most people's native LCD resolution is hgiher than 1024x768, you're better running with AA off with either card.
Hence the 2600 XT DDR3 is a bit better, IMHO.
