A laptop for video editing?

I have answered the faq list and was looking for some good answers....

I have a desktop for primary video editing work, and need a laptop for travel etc, I have NO IDEA where to begin, so anything would be useful! I need memory for faster navigation, and I am confused about quad cores and their functions (although it looks like intel is better than amd for video editing?)

more than 500 gb/as much as possible while maintaining speed

All the drives although bluray is not necessary

-HP sounds like it heats up, and dell has given me problems in the past
