Hi
Does anyone have any information about the new Nvidia D8 card series. The main question is that will D8V replace Nvidia 8800 GTS 320Mb and will D8M replace 8800 GTS 640MB? I guess it is obvious that D8E will replace GTX/Ultra cards. Any idea how these new cards will compare against 8800 320/640MB?

Any insight into this is very much appreciated.

Pretty much all the info at the moment seems to be rumours, albeit strong, widespread ones. From what I understand the cards will be evolution rather than revolution. There's supposed to be mid range priced cards with similar or slightly less performance to the 8800gts and a card that performs slightly better than the 8800GTX.

Possible that they're aiming to make their range cooler and cheaper paving the way for a new flagship high end card next year.

That's just my opinion based on rumours though, no solid info

There is no reliable information because only the Inquirer are dumb enough to keep re-hashing the same old rumours over and over again.

If a new product is coming out of Nvidia in November, past experience tells us that a press release will be coming late October. That's less than a month to wait. Be patient young padawan.
