New Build: need to buy sata cables?

My new build will have 3 SATA hard drives. All of the HDs are OEMs. Do I need to buy separate SATA cables for the build?

It depends on what you get with the motherboard. For example GA-P35-DS3L comes with two SATA cables and GA-P35-DS3R with 4.

I am planning on an ASUS P5K. I just checked the specs on the ASUS web site and it shows 2 sata cables included. Looks like I will need another one.

Any suggests or will any basisc sata cable be okay?

It's best to get the kind of cable with latches.

You may need a 4th cable for the DVD burner. I'm assuming you will get one, and chances are it won't have a cable with it. I even bought a $90 Plextor retail and it came without a cable

Be careful with those SATA cables:
Sometimes the latches interfere and don't mate well.
Also, there are two different pin-outs: 1-1 and 1-7.
