hey there, first off, do not get the Striker board, there is no need whatsoever to send that kind of money on a motherboard. There are really better boards out there. Striker is not anything special and it not worth almost $350. IF you are just getting one card, which I suggest you do, get a nice p35 board, like the gigabyte and save that money for an 8800GTS 320MB, it is so much better than the 8600GTS. For around 300 for you can get the 8800GTS.

Second, you picked out an AMD CPU with an Intel motherboard, so that won't work. Also that CPU isn't the king anymore. I suggest getting the Intel q6600 or get the e6750 and wait till the new cpus come out to upgrade.

For the PSU, you don't need the 750 unless you are going to do SLI and even with 8800GTS 320-640MB cards you can get by with around 620W-700W.

I suggest you go with the 8800GTS 320MB, a p35 board, and Corsair 520W. If you plan to upgrade later to a better newer card, get the Corsair 620W just for the extra juice to have on hand.

If you have any questions, let me know. Msg me on aim or yahoo at anytime! I'd be happy to help! my aim and yahoo is Maximus9102 :) good luck with your build

This is what I'm thinking, after looking at that dysfunctional monstrosity.

Case - NZXT Zero Case ($139)
Motherboard - Abit IP35 Pro ($185)
Processor - Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 ($280)
Memory - pqi 2 x 2GB DDR2 667 CL5 ($184)
Graphics - EVGA GeForce 8800GTS 320MB ($290)
Hard drive - 2x Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 500GB SATA ($240)
PSU - PC Power & Cooling Silencer 610W ($150)

The total for that all is $1468. I'd actually recommend you choose a different drive pair for RAID0... there are some WD Caviar SE16 500GB's for $100/each--saving you $40. Also, you don't need that much power--a Seasonic S12 600W (Tier 2) should run you about $140. I'd personally choose a different case--I always though of NZXT cases as quite ugly--I personally like the XClio 188A and XClio WindTunnel.

The difference is small and negligible.

RAID0 should make them both come out about the same. Still, saving $40 is saving $40... if it makes him fit into his ideal budget, it's his call. Nobody here can really make someone buy something they don't want... we can only offer suggestions on how to get him what he wants and how he wants it.
