SAS vs Sata Tags: Hard Drives SAS SATA Performance NAS / RAID Storage Last response: February 19, 2008 10:05 AM in Storage Share edgley February 18, 2008 3:16:25 PM Howdy, I am after getting the best performance I can for my disk system. From my reading I am lead to believe that a SAS 15k RAID 0, with a 30GB partition for windows and the rest for applications is best. I appreciate how hard an answer is, but that wont stop me asking! How much faster would that SAS setup be verses the same but with SATA disks? Thanks, Simon.
