hi all i got a new pc e6850 with zalman 9700nt cooler and Asus P5K-E WIFI-AP mb. i got STRANGE problem
in CPU-Z 1.42 its show my cpu working on 2000mhz (333X6)
in CORE TEMP 0.95 3000mhz (333x9)
in windows and when i start the pc its show speed 3.0(3000mhz)
where is the problem ? in cpu-z?

I wanted to oc my cpu but i couldnt change the bus speed 333) and the multiplier (x9) and i set it to manual.
can you advise me how good can i oc my cpu and my memory corsair xm2 6400c4(1gbX2) X 2

Wow...when are you going to start reading the sticky's! It is called, SPEED STEP, it's in the bios and you can disable it. When the processor is idle, it drops down the multiplier to 6 to reduce heat output and power.

First, you don't hit enter on Asus to change the FSB / Multiplier. Just start typing it in and hit enter.

Why do you want to disable it? It's a power saving feature.

What do you mean, "What about OC? ?!"

Calm down and ask some questions that aren't answered in the stickies that you didn't see because you obviously had no interest in reading them.

Sorry it gets asked a lot.. it's annoying at times.

I don't know what speed you can get.

3.2->3.3 on stock cooler? I have no idea, you won't really know til you give it a shot.
