Please help

I have a :Amd 2800+xp

800 megahertz AMD Mobile Athlon XP-M
128 kilobyte primary memory cache
128 kilobyte secondary memory cache.

with an ELitegroup 755-A2 K8 AMD 754.
Geforce Fx6200 256mb
1.5gb 400mhz Ram
audigy2 S/C

I bought the CPU and motherboard as part of a bundle because i couldnt fix a fault with MSI board and chip .
Not knowing what the new CPU was i just saw the 2800+ because thats what i had before . Now i know that the "M" is ment for mobile and thus for Laptops only. As i have a desktop PC , i am suffering with high graphic games and multitasking . Is this the chips fault being a laptop chip ?

i believe that the mobile chips are undervolted and therefor under clocked so that it uses less power in wireless laptop when ur on the go...if its in ur desktop i would try overclocking it to a spec 2800+...possibly just the mulitiplier is affected..hum...not sure. But if u have suffient power thats what i would try...not sure if this was helpfull sorry if not...ok
