I just got a new BFG Nvidia 8800 GTS 640 mg 320 bit graphics card and am now looking for a new display. I am looking for something in the 24" size. Any recommendations?
I would like to utilize the HDMI feature of the card and the Dell monitor does not support it. The husband works for a large corporation that is best known for its OS and other employees there are saying that the Samsung is good. However, when I check other forums, there seems to be problems with them. I have been looking at the LG 24" monitor and so far there have been really good reviews on it. Does anyone else have any ideas? This is going to be a monitor that has to last for a few years. I do a lot of online gaming as well as being a web designer so graphics are important to me.
Well, I just personally bought a 22" LG LCD (after reading about the endless controversy over the Samsung monitors), and am pleased to say I'm quite happy with it.
Less than $550 (unless there's a sale) means you will be buying a LCD monitor using TN panel technology. While great for gaming because they are typically rated at 5ms. But, in general, they typically suffer from lower color accuracy, lower contrast, lower viewing angles, and image artifacts (amongst other) compared to more expensive panel technologies.
Above $550 you will be getting a MVA or PVA panel which is better than TN panels in almost every way (generally speaking) except for response time which is typically 6ms for these types of 24" monitors.

I'm building a new system in a few months, and I'm going to go with the BenQ FP241wz. Between the great response time, huge number of inputs, and the great reviews I think it's a sure thing.
