The Zaurus Software Index (http://www.killefiz.de/zaurus/) most recent
files are from 12/06/2004. I can't find any mention of the site being
abandoned, but it is hard to believe that no updated software has been
submitted in three plus months.

Checking further, I can see from date-sorted ZSI2
(http://zsi2.stonekeep.com/index.php?v=l&n=10000)
that there have been other times where the updates took a month or so.
Maybe this is just one of the longer dry spells -- and not indicitive
of a problem with Zaurus development spiraling downward because of
Zaurus product cancellations outside of Japan. I hope so. The Zaurus
is nice, but the lack of developer support and international support
on Sharp's part is disappointing.

ZSI has been replaced by the Embedded Linux Software Index (ELSI):
http://www.elsix.org/

Wow! Thanks, David. I see from this:
http://www.killefiz.de/k/zaurus/
that you are right.

There is nothing at http://killefiz.de/zaurus/ to indicate the change
.. . . It's too bad. I had begun checking out ZSI a few weeks ago. I
was just wasting my time. I guess I could have up-navigated in the
url, but a message indicating the change would have been most helpful
on te ZSI page itself -- and the newer ZSI2 page.

Thanks again.

Woah, another two months later and still the "archives" exclusively
are coming up in google searches. Trying several searches, I couldn't
find the new ZSI. I had to search the USENET for my old post. The best
example:

Googling "Zaurus Software Index"
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en [...] tnG=Search
returns links to the old database -- nothing apparent near the top
about the site moving.

Can't someone put a note at the top of the main page (and every page)
linking to the new site? How many people are getting directed to the
old site again and again?
