Does anyone know what the AUX IN and CD IN connectors on this soundcard are for? are the mandatory for use, or just options? i have no idea what to connect there?

Relax. My X-Fi works fine even though it has a ton of connectors I'm not using. You don't have to use every feature. I'm guessing AUX IN is for a microphone and CD IN for the CD-ROM drive.
