Just tried installing my new 8800GT video card and CPU reached 80c.. and GPU on the new video card.
Maybe not enough power PSU for it? i have a 550W Power Supply.

There is this cord that plugged into the card.. i plugged the other cord into 2 spare cables that usually the fans are plugged into..

Sorry? Which reached 80dc. The CPU or GPU?

What brand is the PSU? 550w is enough, but if it is a crap brand then it is probably not a true 550w psu.

Don't take my word for it, but I understood Intels Thermal Tool to give inaccurate measurements.

Both of them were at 80c and i checked the CPU temp in Bios it also said 80c...

maybe i didnt install the card correctly.

Did this happen before you installed the Card? the 8800GT with stock HS and stock speedfans will hit 80C easily under load. But idle should at most be 60C. As far as your CPU hitting 80C... Did you hit your HS loose or something, for idle speed thats VERY hot. Do you have AMD or Intel platform? Possible if its intel 778 one of your pins might have not been in all the way. User CoreTemp when your in windows. If it's really 80C on both cores, reseat your HS.
