Looking for gaming 19'' (or 17'') LCD , not widescreen, around U$250

Hey guys,

In google i can only find old info, i read good things about the Viewsonic VX922, and even it being a bit old (i think that it was released in 2005), seems that it still is recommended for games nowadays. The contrast is not that good (650:1) and i was wondering if there isnt a better one for around the same price.

I dont want widescreen due to game compatibilities, i like to play some old games, like before 2004.

I have a x2 4400+ with the Evga 8600GT, nothing top, but i think it can play most games in the native resolution, but ill have to disable filters and lower lots of settings, thats why im trying to find an LCD that works good with other resolutions as well (800x600, 1024x768), or at least one that have mininum loss of quality when i lower the resolutions.

So, if any of you guys know of a good 19'' or even a 17'' with good/strong colors, that works good with 800x600 or 1024x768, and of course with NO ghost effect, please, recommend me

Oh and i dont have much more than U$250 to spend
