Raid 1 failure to copy

I am setting up a system with a mirrored drive there is information on primary and secondary is blank on a system with an adaptec 1200a ata raid card.

When i create the raid 1 and copy it always fails, checked both drives no errors? even tried creating raid 1 before hand and copy data to raid array fails?.

any ideas?.

Ok once i updated the raid bios on card the copy problems vanished its working now.
