In my new build this is the first time ill be using a SATA drive. What i want to know is, is it just plug in and load windows or do i have to install drivers and stuff like that? Curious, as this being the first time ive installed sata and want to make sure its all ok when i do it. Thanks. Its just 1 500 gig sata drive by the way.

What OS are you using? I've run into an issue with the original Xp CD's where i needed to put SATA drivers on a floppy. But that was back in like 03, I haven't needed to since. I don't think you will have issues. Plug it in and away you go, much easier than IDE with the master/slave crap. One cable, one plug.

Vista should just be plug and play. If its XP, it may depend on your controller whether or not you need drivers. Easy way to tell: if you don't have any drives to select from when you start the install, you need drivers : )
