I have a weird problem with my net gear wireless router. Whenever I go to googlemaps, or mapquest, my router disconnects me. Its weird because it says I am still connected, but I am unable to view any web pages. When I refresh the IP address, I get the error message that it is unable to re-new my IP address. I wind up having to reboot the computer. Its weird because it only happens on those map web sites and use the satellite view. Has anyone ever had this problem?

See if lowering the MTU setting in the router helps. The default is 1500, lower in increments of 10. A program called TCPOptimizer may be useful.

Alternatively, try a different browser -- or you may need to update some plug-ins on yours.
