Bad Hard Drive Sectors

Last response: in Storage

I bought a new 750 GB Samsung Spinpoint F1, received it last Wednesday and I'm using it as a storage drive. I set it up as a simple basic partition and copied all the files from my full 250 GB drive over to it. Luckily, I unplugged my 250 gig and kept all the files on it just in case. Yesterday (Sunday) my computer restarted on its own and ran chkdsk on the new drive. There were quite a few read failures and deleted indexes. After booting back up I ran chkdsk through the drive's properties screen with both options checked (Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors). When it finally finished there were a few deleted indexes but no read errors as it had before.

Should I assume the problems are fixed and this was just due to normal bad disk sectors that were missed during the initial format, or should I try and RMA this for a Seagate tomorrow? Thanks!

chkdsk output after computer rebooted itself:

One of your disks needs to be checked for consistency. You
may cancel the disk check, but it is strongly recommended
that you continue.
Windows will now check the disk.
