I have a 2wire wireless modem/router combo right now but would like to upgrade to a 10/100/1000 one. Can anyone steer me in the right direction what I should look for. I have a DSL connection from AT&T.

No, your internet speed is set by your ISP. If you want faster speeds, pay for the highest available.
