Alright i used my step up plan to get an EVGA 8800 GT, of course this version is stock at 600/900 clock speeds. I was wondering how to flash my bios to an SSC version. Ive downloaded an SSC bios from mvktech.com and read it into nbitor. Its in rom form. When i boot from a floppy and type in nvflash ssc.rom it says that the pci device does not match the bios or something. I knew this already and i thought thats why i was flashing it. Anyone know how to get this to work? Also i noticed EVGA posted a new bios that improves fan speed functions for all 8800 GT cards except the stock one. Why is this?

Just use RivaTuner and manually overclock. Flashing BIOS can be risky, maybe fatal for your card.
