HDD size compatible? Tags: Hard Drives Compatibility IBM ThinkPad Storage Last response: March 9, 2008 9:30 AM in Storage Share po4dun March 5, 2008 11:13:16 AM Hi I want to change the disk in my year 2003 IBM Thinkpad R32 notebook. Currently, there's a 40Gb hitachi ATA-5 in it. As I know, some controllers can handle just as much as 128Gb (but I want to buy 160Gb) - how do I find out if will 160Gb will fit? thanks! More about : hdd size compatible lilsage March 9, 2008 9:30:26 AM Easiest way... E-mail IBM and ask. Sadly I have never seen spec listings showing what the max drive capacity is... so not much use looking there. Might luck out and someone here knows what it can handle. Can't find your answer ? Ask !
